Somebody
I am the deep purple which holds emotions together,
Passionate and exquisite.
I am the graceful and elegant cheetah,
Who cradles unconforming beauty.
I am a cascade of pouring rain,
...Erupting from gray clouds.
I am the emotion of compassion,
Desiring to connect with the dilemmas and jubilation of humanity.
I am the song of the rolling waves of the ocean,
Forgiving and composed.
I am the feeling of a brand new velveteen rabbit,
Silky and cherished.
I am the aroma of a sweet rose,
A frail spiral of pure fragrance.
I am the everlasting taste of freshly picked strawberries,
So sweet, not needing sugar.
I am the daughter of the mythical Mother Nature,
Integral and organic.
I am the reverie of flying about clouds,
Sailing through the sky.
I Am Somebody.
This poem was one that I loved in middle school. I just wanted to share it with you. The young girl who wrote it attempted suicide. The acting group that I was a part of in North Carolina used this poem in one of our skits. I think it is important to remember that who ever you are wherever you are, you are somebody and you are special and unique. God made you with a purpose and He has a plan for your life.
